Who we are
Twenty years looking after grounds in the South West.
Avery Grounds has been maintaining commercial grounds across Somerset, Devon and Dorset since 2005. Over that time we've grown from local roots into a contractor trusted with high-compliance, high-value sites — while keeping the things that made us reliable in the first place: directly employed teams, a genuinely local presence, and a straightforward way of working.
We deliberately focus on commercial contracts — managing agents, estates, later-living, healthcare, education and infrastructure — rather than spreading thin. That focus is why we invest in the things those clients actually need: documented health & safety, an evidenced quality system, and accountable, named teams who turn up and do what they said they would.
We're not the cheapest, and we don't try to be. We're the contractor you choose when the grounds matter, the site is sensitive, and you need to be able to prove the work was done to standard.
A word from the owner
I started Avery to do grounds maintenance the way I'd want it done — properly, safely, and without the excuses. Two decades on, that hasn't changed. When you call us, you're dealing with a team that takes real pride in the work and stands behind it. That's the whole point.
