Privacy notice
Last updated 13 June 2026
Written in plain English so you can see exactly what we collect, why, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, just ask.
This notice explains how Avery Grounds Maintenance Limited handles the personal information you give us when you make an enquiry through this website. We keep what we collect to a minimum and never sell it.
Who we are
The data controller is Avery Grounds Maintenance Limited (Company Registration No. 8417811), Millers Gold, Silver Street, West Buckland, Wellington TA21 9NA.
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@averygrounds.co.uk or on 01823 297 015.
What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form we collect the details you provide: your name, company or organisation, email address, phone number, the kind of site, its town or postcode, the number of sites, your timescale, and anything you write in the message.
We also record that you gave consent to be contacted, along with the date and time and the wording you agreed to. For security we process limited technical data (such as a one-way hashed indicator of your network address and basic anti-spam signals) to prevent abuse of the form.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit and provide a proposal. The lawful bases are your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries about our services.
We do not use your enquiry details for unrelated marketing, and we do not make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Who we share it with
Your enquiry is passed to GroundsHub, the customer-management system we use to handle and follow up enquiries, acting as our processor under contract.
As a resilience fallback, enquiry notifications may be sent through Resend (Resend, Inc.), a transactional email provider acting as our processor. We do not sell your data or share it for third-party marketing.
Where your data is processed
Your enquiry is handled in GroundsHub, which stores its data in the United Kingdom. The one exception is our fallback email provider, Resend (a US company), which may process notification emails outside the UK.
Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses — so your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for up to 36 months from your last contact with us, then delete or anonymise it. We hold it for this period because enquirers often come back to us after a year or two, and keeping your details means we can pick up where we left off rather than asking you to start again.
If your enquiry becomes a contract, the related records are kept for the life of that relationship and for a period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting and insurance obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability, in line with UK data-protection law.
To exercise any of these, email hello@averygrounds.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies & analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to see which pages are useful and where visitors arrive from. It sets no tracking cookies, doesn't follow you across sites, and doesn't identify you — so there's nothing to opt into. We use only the essential cookies needed to make the site work.
